Thai native, Sukontip Nakasem (P’Fon) is a veteran in the art business. In 2006, she founded her first art gallery, “La Lanta Fine Art,” and worked to build the gallery’s reputation to become one of the leading art galleries in Thailand.

In 2021, she founded her second art gallery, “Warin Lab Contemporary.” The purpose of the gallery is to communicate pressing social issues through art. Since its inception, Warin Lab Contemporary solely focuses on the issue of environment and sustainability.

Warin Lab Contemporary works with artists and curators from around the world to create meaningful dialogue through works that provoke thought and stimulate action.

In this talk, Sukontip Nakasem will discuss how her gallery has become a platform for a roster of artists in Bangkok and beyond.

Before switching to a career in the art field, Sukontip’s corporate roles included managerial positions in a consumer product conglomerate and communication consultancy firms. Sukontip earned a degree in business communications from Emerson College, Boston, USA, and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
