Watercolor Works from the Turchin Center’s Permanent Collection

February 2, 2007 – March 17, 2007(This exhibition has passed.)

The Turchin Center maintains the university’s collection of diverse original works of art, and, in support of the university’s teaching mission, collects and provides works for special exhibitions such as this one; makes pieces available to campus facilities to ensure that students, staff and faculty experience significant, original artwork as a part of their daily routine; and loans pieces to other organizations within the region. During the last 10 years, the Turchin Center’s Permanent Collection has tripled to more than 1,000 original works of art. What began primarily as a collection of drawings and works on paper has grown to include works from a diverse range of media, techniques, and content.

This current exhibition was designed to complement the works included in the National Watercolor Society’s annual traveling exhibition.
