Ronnie Beets: Recent Work

November 2, 2007 – February 1, 2008(This exhibition has passed.)

Ronnie Beets was born in Fortaleza, Brazil, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. Adopted as an infant, the artist credits his family and upbringing with the nurturing atmosphere that allowed him to become an artist. The artist says of his work, “Painting is the most centered place I can be. It is meditation and perfect solitude in an often confusing world. It has become a religion of sorts for me.

A safe place to ask questions and find my own answers, each painting gives me an intimate glimpse of my own being and that of the Divine nature which connects us all. These are powerful tools against the seeds of fear and doubt all too often planted in our lives.”
