Faculty Biennial: Department of Art

As Chair of the Appalachian State Department of Art, I am proud to welcome you to the Department of Art Faculty Biennial, a celebration of the work of our multidisciplinary faculty across art and design. This exhibition offers a glimpse into the creative and scholarly research that drives our department and opens a conversation about the nature of contemporary art and education. For our students, it is a chance to engage directly with the work of faculty. For my colleagues across campus and our neighbors in the communities that surround us, it is an invitation to experience the creative practices emerging from our department.
