An exhibition in partnership with the Catherine J. Smith Gallery.
The Department of Art Biennial Exhibition at Appalachian State University showcases the work produced by its multidisciplinary faculty. Providing direct engagement with the current creative and scholarly research of the faculty, the exhibition initiates critical dialogue about the nature of contemporary art. This exhibition offers students interaction with familiar faculty while also providing other faculty and staff at Appalachian State and the Boone community a chance to engage with the many ideas and practices being explored and taught within the Department of Art.
This exhibition will be located in two locations and display dates vary by gallery:
- Catherine J Smith Gallery (located in the lobby of the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts): January 23 – February 27, 2014
- Turchin Center’s Gallery A: February 7 – March 22, 2014
