Part of An Appalachian Summer Festival’s programming, this ARTtalk will provide a retrospective on the Rosen family’s vision for sculpture at App State and the lasting impact of four decades of the Rosen Sculpture Competition.
Speaker Hank Foreman has worked at Appalachian since 1993. In his 32 years at the university, he has held many leadership positions, including serving as chief communications officer and founding director and chief curator of the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, where his research focus found its culmination in more than 200 exhibitions. Hank is a first-generation college student who earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1986 and a master’s degree from Appalachian State University in 1995.
