The Turchin Center is proud to display works created by the center’s very own local artists in this exhibition featuring works created in the many and varied workshops offered through the center’s Community Art School.
The Turchin Center’s Community Art School makes the visual arts more accessible to the High Country by providing opportunities for participants to experience the visual arts in a dynamic, meaningful and personal way. The purpose of this program is twofold: to enrich the lives of participants by providing experiences that are both educational and therapeutic, and to build an audience that recognizes the importance of the arts in experiencing, interpreting, understanding, recording and shaping culture. Programs are designed to assist participants in learning more about themselves and the arts. The programs of the Community Art School are supported by a generous grant from the Helen M. Clabough Charitable Foundation.
