Figure Drawing: Exploring Human Forms and Movements

REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS AND NONSTUDENTS. CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO 15.

This introductory to figure drawing fundamentals will expose students to key concepts and artistic principles to render line, shape, proportion and negative space while working from observing the human figure. Participants will explore various drawing media, including charcoal and graphite, as they progress from simple lines toward a nuanced understanding of tonal description

About the Instructor

Tunde Afolayan Famous has emerged amongst the ranks of contemporary artists committed to embracing figurative expressionism. He received his formal training in art at the prestigious Yaba Tech (Lagos-Nigeria) and attended graduate school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Famous has taught art courses at Yaba Tech, National Louis University and Elizabeth City State University. In the fall of 2006, Famous became a full-time studio artist, maintaining his practice in the state of North Carolina. To view his work, vist www.tundevisualrt.com

Turchin Center Refund Policy

The Turchin Center has a "No-Refund Policy." Refunds may not be issued for workshops once payments have been processed. Refunds will be made for any workshops that are canceled and for workshops that require a participant minimum.
