Beadology 101
Tuesdays, May 22 - June 26, 2018
Ages 16+

In this well-crafted beginner beading class, students will learn the basics of stringing and design, including a review of raw materials and proper use and application of tools used for jewelry-making. Projects will include necklace and earring designs, several types of bracelet designs, wine charms, earrings, and an intro to wire and chain. All supplies are included in the class fee. Additional materials are available for purchase during class.

Creative Kids Studio
May - August 2018
Ages 6 - 10

Be inspired and create colorful memories! Students will learn new skills as they create sculpture, drawing and painting, using a wide variety of materials.

Drawing from Life
Monday - Friday, June 18 - 22, 2018
Ages 8 - 14

Explore and develop skills, confidence and creativity in drawing from observation. Learn to draw realistically by looking at objects such as photographs, still life, self-portraits and the landscape. Spend time on focused drawing exercises; then move toward long-term drawing projects. Each student will be given a sketchbook for use in the class.

Inkalicious: Alcohol Inks (Adults)
Through June 2018
Adults and Students, age 17+

Come join the fun as you explore the wonderful world of alcohol inks with folks who participated in the App Summer workshop. This is an open studio opportunity with no direct instruction. Everyone is available to inspire and share ideas with one another.

International Art
Monday - Friday, June 25 – 29, 2018
Grades 1 – 5 (ages 6-10)

Campers will grab their passports and travel around the world to experience cultural history and international art. The trip starts in Panama, then travels south to Brazil, across the ocean to Ghana, Ukraine, Middle East, India, China, Australia, Fiji and will finish in the state of Alaska. Students will learn about techniques, styles and art created in each of the countries including printmaking, painting, mosaics, and more.

Metalsmithing 101
Tuesdays, July 10 – August 7, 2018
Ages 16+

Metalsmithing 101 will introduce students to the basics of metal working including technical skills, building and problem solving. Emphasis will be on the fundamentals of working with hand tools to gain proficiency in sawing, riveting, soldering, simple forming and finishing techniques.

Mixed Media Mania
Monday - Friday, July 9 – 13, 2018
Grades 4 – 9, ages 9-13

Mix it up with mixed media mania! Students will create art with a multitude of mediums including paper, paint, pastels and printmaking to create treasure boxes, masks, portraits, altered books and mosaics. The class will also include art criticism and art history.

Toddler Power Hour
May - August 2018
Ages 3 - 5

Explore art through engaging hands-on activities with sculpture, painting, story time and more! Students will gain confidence in self-expression and artistic exploration while learning about color, texture and shapes.

Trash Art
Monday - Friday, July 23 – 27, 2018
Grades 4 – 8 (ages 9-12)

This class is all about TRASH! Have a blast creating fun works of art using recyclables including water bottles, bottle caps, grocery bags, zip ties, plastic lids, cereal boxes and so much more! Students will make animal sculptures, assemblages boxes, mosaics, alter boxes, and Chihuly-inspired hanging sculptures! The class will also include art criticism and art history.
