Blazing Easels (Children)

Children, ages 7 -12

Create fun art with colored pencils, markers, paint, oil pastels and collage. Explore the seven elements of design - line, shape, color, texture, value, space and form.

Circles of Influence: Part II with artists Bob Ray and Barbara Hardy
October 12 & 13, 2017

Barbara Hardy and Bob Ray are inspired by found objects, patterns and designs discovered in nature. They have created a diverse body of work entitled Circles of Influence. Community members are invited to attend a workshop with Bob and Barbara to discover their unique creative voice.

Healing Arts Yoga (Adults)
September 2017 - November 2017
Adults and Students, age 17+

Join yoga instructor, Angie Forest, on Saturdays for an 1-hour yoga session in our Art Gallery in downtown Boone. All skill levels are welcome and mats can be provided if you don't own one.

Inkalicious: Alcohol Inks (Adults)

Come join the fun as you explore the wonderful world of alcohol inks with folks who participated in the App Summer workshop. This is an open studio opportunity with no direct instruction. Everyone is available to inspire and share ideas with one another.

Explore the world of texture, color and design. Play with paint, collage, pastels, pen and ink with Wanda Ortiz and Shauna Caldwell. Rediscover your creative spirit in a community of peers as you explore different mediums in an inviting space.

Tai Chi (Adults)
September 2017 - November 2017
Adults and 17+ students

Participants will engage in a series of very specific integrated postures in fluid sequence—that today is practiced as a graceful form of exercise.

Trash to Treasure
September 2017 - November 2017
Appalachian students only

Trash Art Mondays will offer students the opportunity to create art by reusing ordinary materials that they encounter on a daily basis. Students will interact with everyday items to create attractive and maybe even useful craft items; the possibilities are endless.
