Our State Magazine Hosts Launch Party at the Turchin Center;
April Issue Features TCVA and 11th AMPC
Boone, NC – North Carolina’s Our State magazine will celebrate their April issue of the magazine at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts on Friday, March 28 from 3-6 p.m. in the galleries. The magazine will feature a photo essay on the Turchin Center and the 11th Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition. This event is free and open to the public. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Our State Editor in Chief Elizabeth Hudson and enter to win prizes from the Our State store. Light refreshments and guided tours will be offered throughout the event and guests will receive a complimentary copy of the April magazine. About the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts- 10th Anniversary Year
The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts presents exhibition, education and collection programs that support Appalachian State University’s role as a key regional educational, cultural and economic resource.
The Turchin Center is located at 423 West King St., in Boone. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Tues.-Thurs. and Saturday, and Noon-8 p.m., Friday. The Center is closed Sunday and Monday, and observes all university holidays. There is no admission charge, although donations are gratefully accepted.
