10th Anniversary Video Wins Platinum MarCom Award

The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts' 10th Anniversary promotional video, "Find Your Art," won a Platinum MarCom award for the 2013 competition. The video, produced by Appalachian State University's University Communications and featuring local artist Lowell Hayes, was one of 11 MarCom Awards won by University Communications in the 2013 competition administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.

In addition to the Platinum award, University Communications also took home a Gold Award for the Turchin Center's NC Arts Council Artist Fellowship Award Exhibition Catalog and two Honorable Mentions for the 2012 Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition & Exhibition Catalog and the 2013 Turchin Center spring brochure

About the MarCom Awards

The MarCom Awards is a creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. This competition has grown to one of the largest of its kind in the world. There were over 6,500 entrants in the 2013 competition from across the world.
