The 3rd Annual Appalachian Mountain Photography Competition (AMPC), a program of Appalachian State University's Outdoor Programs Department and the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, in conjunction with the Banff Film Festival, is an opportunity to showcase the Southern Appalachian Region. The competition is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional, who have captured through photography the unique people, places, and pursuits that characterize the Southern Appalachians.

Generous prize packages, including a total of $1000 in cash prizes, will be awarded. Prizes will be awarded in each category and winning and Special Mention photographs will be displayed in the Turchin Center's exhibition. All schedule changes specific to public events at the Turchin Center will be posted on the Turchin Center’s website and on Facebook.
