Open Studio for App State Students

Join us on Thursday evenings throughout the semester to unleash your creative spirit in a community of App State student peers in the studio space at the Turchin Center. These art-making workshops are led by Appalachian State University student instructors and are open to all skill levels. All supplies are provided.  Registration is required. Open Studio will be a time to create and explore new art making materials in a casual and welcoming setting.

About the Instructors

April Flanders

Reese Clemons is a rising sophomore at Appalachian State University pursuing a degree in Art Education. Prior to attending Appalachian State, Reese worked and interned at Holt School of Fine Art in Charlotte N.C. This was the seed combining her love of both art and teaching.

Dani Juarez is a native Chicagoan, a career educator, and an art teacher who can’t just choose one medium. The beauty of nature never ceases to amaze her. Dani’s weekends are for grad school homework–school counseling–coffee on the porch, and cooking her 16 year old son’s (who is also attending App this year!) favorite foods.
