Gallery Bus Trip: Spruce Pine Potters Market

Event date:
Saturday, October 14, 2017 - 8:00am - 3:00pm

When it comes to clay, the Spruce Pine Potters Market (SPPM) is the best of the best. It is an invitational show of over thirty regional artists and it happens only once a year. Let us take you there! For this special event, experts and other art lovers (meaning Turchin Center staff and board members) will be on hand to escort you along the scenic winding roads to Spruce Pine and the historic 1932 Cross Street Building. There, you’ll have rare access to new works crafted at the private studios of 30+ of the region’s finest potters. There will be functional pottery, figurative sculpture, tiles, stoneware, earthenware, and more. And the artists—each of whom has a “unique story told through their work in clay”—will be on hand to meet you.

Join us for lunch after the Potter’s Market at the delicious Twisted Laurel restaurant in Spruce Pine before we head back to Boone.
